We traveled from the UK and chose the Choquequirao trek because we wanted a quieter and more adventurous route. It was definitely demanding, but the organization was excellent. Our guide knew the trail very well, kept a good pace for the group, and shared fascinating information about the archaeological site. The scenery was spectacular and reaching Choquequirao with very few other visitors around was a special experience.
