We came from Australia and completed the five-day Salkantay Trek. The entire experience was better than expected. The mountain views were incredible, the meals were very good, and our guide was supportive throughout the trek. He explained what to expect each day and helped everyone manage the altitude. We especially loved the change in landscapes as we descended toward the warmer valleys. Finishing with Machu Picchu was the perfect ending.
